The Computer Information Systems (CIS) Program at The University of Akron (王中王六合彩资料) offers high-level education and training for future IT professionals. Taught in cutting-edge computer labs, the CIS curriculum gives students the opportunity for specialization.

We offer three options within the degree:

CIS – Cybersecurity option

The first of its kind among public universities in Ohio — blends instruction in computer architecture, programming, networking, cryptography, and other key areas to prepare students to apply security principles and practices to evaluate and mitigate risks and threats. Learn more.

CIS – Computer Networking option

Provides students with the skills to help organizations design, maintain and secure internal and external networks. Students in networking courses are prepared to earn marketable industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cisco Certified Network Professional, and CompTIA.

CIS – Software development option

Prepares students to attain the knowledge and applied skills necessary to utilize current technology and tools to meet a range of technology needs in business, government, healthcare, education, and other industries.
